Changing Bodies Reincarnation FAQ    How does it work?    Why does it matter?    Want to know more?

How Does it Work?

In the Gita we find the following information,”As the embodied soul continuously passes, in this body, from boyhood to youth to old age, the soul similarly passes into another body at death. The self realized soul is not bewildered by such a change.” (BG 2.13) We can perceive our own changing body in this life, experiencing our childhood years, then youth, and ultimately old age. The soul at the death of this body continues its journey, accepting another body to continue seeking redemption from the repetition of birth and death.  Each of us can remember being children, but where is the child’s body? Although we remember our childhood, the body in which we experienced our childhood memories no longer exists. We are spiritual sparks of the ultimate reality or God, completely spiritual in essence, yet we are covered with matter in the form of this body which is an elaborate machinelike arrangement of tissue, bones and organs. When the machine of the body dies and decomposes, that which animates the body, the soul, our very self, continues its journey in another suitable body according to our karma or activities. This is called reincarnation.

Changeing Bodies
I believe ... that the soul of man is immortal and will be treated with justice in another life, respecting its conduct in this.
